Sunset on a January evening

These two pictures are the view from our deck of a sunset just a couple of days ago. The one on the left was first one, beautiful reds and golds. The one on the right was taken about a minute later and the colors have muted to lovely purples, blues and a very soft gold. The valley, our grove of trees and the pool are obscured in the photo but take my word for it, the entire scene was very "Tranquil" and lovey.

Well, the pictures didn't line up well, but I'm learning.

Getting Started

I decided it was time to start blogging about my knitting (and family and occasional ramblings). First I want to explain the title of my blog. My husband and I built our dream house in 1981 on a bluff in eastern Parker County, TX. We had first visited this particular piece of property about 1971 and dreamed about it. Finally we were able to buy it. The view is magnificent. Our house was built with full wall windows across the west side of the house where we could view the valley from any point in the house. Our sunsets are beyond beautiful - I wish we could bottle them. Anyway, we named our home Tranquility Bluff.

I'll post more a little later when I learn a little more about blogging and adding pictures and links, ets.
